UKAS Certification
What is UKAS?
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the national body appointed by the UK government to be responsible for the assessment and accreditation of testing and calibration services. UKAS approved certification guarantees that the accreditation conforms to national and international standards, demonstrating the quality and accuracy of a tested item.
Why might I need UKAS certification?
In industries and processes where traceability is key, UKAS calibration and certification is essential. Not only does UKAS certification provide quality reassurance, it also minimises risk of issues with procurement, auditing and quality control.
Whilst our instruments are calibrated by the manufacturer, a UKAS certificate provides an added, recognised level of quality reassurance.
What's involved?
Each item to be UKAS certified is checked by one of our in-house engineers and then sent to one of our approved independent UKAS test labs, where it is rigorously tested. This process takes approximately 14 days.
The certification includes all test results, stating to which standard they were carried out, and is valid for 1 year. We can also arrange for items to be re-tested once the original certificate expires.
