Fits nicely on my small Record DP25B which has only 60mm depth travel. It's not often a universal fit item is so good. Enough space on small drill body to fit it and the case still opens for belt adjustment. Display is nice and clear and not too small.
It's very handy to repeatedly drill exact depth just looking at the Wixey but you can also use it to accurately set up of the drills collar type depth stop if you wanted to. Particularly useful is the ease and speed to go back later to drill additional holes rather than worrying about making them all at once to avoid setting up the stop collar again.

Easy to install but had to remove and refit / trim to get it working accurately and with good repeatability. It now seems pretty good. It one of those things that if you were to install these often it would be a breeze but in reality most of us will only ever do it once or twice.
I'm sure I will appreciate the cost and effort over the years. Already found it useful for installing flush rare earth button magnets.
After many years of doing blind holes by trial and error, I decided to buy one of these to accurately drill holes to a given depth.
Very well-designed kit - everything you need is included, including a 3.6mm drill for the thread-forming M4 screws. Took me about 20 mins to fit, and that included cutting the sensor bar to length, as it caught on the belt cover at the top - I never knew you could cut these to length!
On my old Axminster HD16FC pillar drill which doesn't have the usual threaded bolt depth stop, fitting as per the instructions wasn't possible due to the spring mechanism and other stuff being in the way, so rather than have the quill bracket perpendicular to the frame, I fitted it at about 45 degrees, bringing it towards the user and allows the display bracket to be fitted on a clear piece of the frame.
This does mean that you have to do some careful bending of the quill bracket to make it line up with the sensor bar, just make sure that the sensor bar moves freely up and down throughout its travel.
